DC Starlight Orchestra - “Salute to the Big Bands of the 1940s”

  • North Street Fairfax, VA, 22030 United States (map)

Old Town Square | 10415 North St., Fairfax, VA, 22030

During World War II the big band music of Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Andrews Sisters, Glenn Miller and others was the soundtrack of life. This music also reached U.S. soldiers and sailors on the battlefront through recordings and broadcasts. DC Starlight Orchestra will play some of the most famous tunes from this era to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. Come join us to listen and dance to a full-size big band with two fantastic female vocalists.
