Lacing LOVE – Spotlight on the Arts Festival
April 23 @ 4:00 pm – May 9 @ 4:00 pm
The Old Town Fairfax Business Association is excited to celebrate the Spotlight on the Arts 2021 Festival, April 23 to May 9.
This year’s theme, Art Heals, recognizes the unifying power of art in the community. For us, Art means Business. As you stroll along the Art Walk, peek at the storefront windows for unique displays from the Chesapeake Region Lace Guild. We all know Virginia is for Lovers; our local lace makers have created LOVE signs out of their tools and materials to celebrate the healing power of love and their love of making lace. The Guild promotes interest and preservation of fine old laces, studies the history and characteristics of lace, and teaches lacemaking and lace identification.
