Detailed Information

Sports Club in Fairfax, Virginia.

The Fairfax Police Youth Club (FPYC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of leadership, sportsmanship and physical fitness, while encouraging and providing opportunities for youth to participate in a variety of sports.

About Fairfax Police Youth Club

The development of our youth is of the utmost importance. Opportunities in Fairfax Police Youth Club (FPYC) allow our children to grow through the special experiences they encounter on the court, trail, track, mat, and both on and off the field. Lifelong friends are made, lifelong lesson learned. It is these events, experiences and situations that help shape the people that our children will become.

At its start, FPYC was able to offer two sports, Football and Basketball. The demand for more sports became apparent, and FPYC has grown from those two sports for the Fall and Winter seasons, to offering 12 sports for year-round athletic opportunities in basketball, cheerleading, field hockey, football, lacrosse, rugby, running, soccer, t-ball, volleyball, wrestling, and youth challenged basketball and soccer. Today, there are approximately 4,000 families whose children benefit from and participate in FPYC youth sports every year.

We must thank a multitude of volunteers, parents, participants, and organizations for making FPYC what it is today. Starting with the vision of City of Fairfax Police Chief Murray Kutner to create a youth club, through five decades of involvement by Quin Elson, Dennis Duffy, Fred Codding, John Keith, John Rusert and Becky McNaughton just to name a very few, FPYC has continuously encouraged sportsmanship, physical fitness, and advancement of leadership for the youth in the City of Fairfax and surrounding Fairfax County areas.
